"It is a lovely country house. I felt like a guest in someone's country house, rather than a visitor in a chain hotel! Decor is lovely. I liked the jacuzzi in the bedroom. There was also a TV and it was possible to borrow DVDs. The breakfast was excellent." (97333914)
The friendliness and helpfullness of the proprietor and the pleasant and clean surroundings.

"Would like to stay again and try the other two rooms, maybe in the summer so we could use the pool!Loved how close it was to all amenities but private enough to remain peaceful." (97497228)
The warmth, charisma and character of the property. An exceptional standard of cleanliness. Very large room and en-suite. Warm welcome and fantastic breakfast.
I am being pernickety now, as is my nature! In the en-suite, the tiny leak of spray that escapes from the top of shower, mixing chrome and gold fittings spoils the elegance as does the slight mould patches on the ceiling.

All relivant information was available to us prior to booking, and the ability to connect to the internet made it possible for us to work too! Thank you for making our stay trouble free and so relaxing, we have no hesitation recommending this hotel and shall certainly be returning." (97712733)

"This is a lovely hotel: there are only three rooms but this provides an informal atmosphere that is welcoming and friendly. The room was clean and well provided for and the morning breakfast was excellent with a good choice. The hosts were friendly yet unobtrusive with helpful advice on the area and excellent local places to eat. We would definitely recommend the hotel and would stay there again." (99060689)

"Standard of rooms exceptional. DVD player in room and free DVD library an excellent idea. Rooms have either steam showers or jacuzzis. Food hot and well cooked. Plenty of information in the rooms. Would highly reccommend. Only 3 rooms so nice and quiet. You will not regret staying here. I sound like an advert, but I stay in different hotels and guest houses nearly every week and this is the best I have stayed in for a long time. I have paid double the ammount for a fraction of the quality! I was very impressed." (3305012075)
Everything, they got the attention to detail just right.
Nothing...it cannot be faulted...and My wife will tell you that from a customer service perspective that I can find fault in anything!!

"Excellent accommodation which is Guest House based but to a very high standard - hotel is located in an up-market area of Colwyn Bay close to A55 and near to all amenities. If you are looking for a great base then treat yourelf to a stay at the Rathlin County House. Hotel only provides Breakfast but there are plenty of good quality restaurants in nearby Conwy. There is an outdoor pool and sauna for the Summer months which adds that extra appeal to what is already a great place to stay." (3304278634)
Very homely surroundings - owners were very friendly and welcoming. Extremely comfortable and luxurious

"nothing. i searched on the web for somewhere to stay in wales for one night on our way back to holyhead. To be honest i wanted something near to the snowdonia mountain range but found nothing that i liked and a lot of the reviews were terrible. Rathlin house kept coming up in my search so in the end i looked on it as a sign or else the luck of the irish. I was right on both counts. Keep up the good work and invest in some decent coffee because everything else is perfect. Claire Gleeson" (3304352352)
attention to detail. impressed with fridge in the bedroom containing milk for coffee and bottled water.shortbread biscs left out for guests. warm bedroom, spotlessly clean and very friendly people. fantastic breakfast. will be back.
the only thing i could say that the coffee at breakfast was not great. other than that i cannot fault anything about rathlin house.

"I thought the hotel offered great value for money with well appointed rooms and is ideal for business travellers who want to avoid the typically boring and impersonal nature of chain hotels (not mentioning any names but they know who they are). The service was excellent and I found that nothing was too much trouble. I have already recommended this hotel to my colleagues and plan to stay there again if the opportunity arises. The hotel doesn't offer evening meals but this is more than compensated by a short trip to the delightful Pen Y Bryn(5-10 minutes by car)." (2962373)
I loved everything about the hotel - the room, the location, the service.
I can't think of any further improvements - it's great as it is.

"Our stay was relatively short but we will have no hesitation in returning when we next visit our family in the area. We highly recommend it to others looking for a quite peaceful stay." (2939498)
The friendly, relaxed atmosphere with exceptional amenities. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. The room was furnished with great attention to detail and the addition of a steam shower made it rather special. The food was excellent but by far the most outstanding feature was the warmth of our welcome by our hosts.

"We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect our stay. The bedroom was spotlessly clean and very comfortable - en suite sumptuous! The breakfasts catered for a wide range of tastes and were cooked to a high standard. Proprietors were most welcoming and engaged in lively conversation. We shall return!" (97684079)
Immaculately clean, tastefully furnished room, warm welcome, excellent food. One of the best hotels we have stayed in.
